Light the World
When angels announced the birth of Jesus Christ 2,000 years ago, their message was one of goodness and joy (see Luke 2:10). Wherever you are this Christmas season, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints encourages everyone to echo that message by bringing light and hope to those in need.
The invitation to Light the World begins today, December 1, 2024, with a special video now available on social media. It was filmed in London, New York City, Tokyo and Sydney, among other global locations. Participants from around the world collaborated on this project.
Ryan Daley, of the Far West Missouri Stake, gives a presentation on the Book of Mormon. Ryan is a researcher of the American Restoration movement, Behavioral Economist, Collector of unique printings and editions of the Book of Mormon (over 800 volumes).
President John Fawson is a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Just months after being called to serve as Stake President of the Far West Missouri Stake, he got a difficult and painful diagnosis; stage four cancer.
He shares how the faith of his friends, family and members of his stake (especially the youth) have given him added strength and faith to take this battle head on.
